Switch to Solar in Three Easy Steps
Austel Power can custom design a solar power system to suit your home or business. Once installed, a solar system costs virtually nothing to operate. The panels are guaranteed to produce energy for at least 25 years, and very little maintenance is involved.
Step 1: – Select the package that best suits your home or business.
Step 2: – Sign a Sales Agreement and pay a deposit.
Step 3: – Pay the balance of the system and at installation assign the STCs to Austel Power
Austel Power’s team of experts will work with you from package selection through to installation. Our home starter package, a 3 – 5kW package, is suitable for most families wanting to reduce the cost of their electricity bill. If you’re interested in going carbon neutral, a larger system, such as our 6 – 10kW system, will suit your needs. Small to large business owners and farmers can also take advantage of the benefits of solar power with systems of up to 100kw. We have a range of systems, and will supply or install systems to suit every budget.
What are the Small Scale Technology Certificates (STCs)?
Take advantage of the Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme (SCTs) which is a Federal government initiative to provide financial support to anyone installing a Small Generation Unit (SGU) solar system.
Austel Power will sell the STCs that your solar system will create to help subsidize the cost of your solar panel system and installation.
Austel Power uses the best quality, high efficiency solar panels to maximize the savings to you and to the benefit of the planet’s future.
How much will I get?
The level of subsidy will depend on a number of factors, including the price of STCs, the deeming period chosen by the applicant, the location of the solar PV system and the size of the system. For example a system installed in Sydney, Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane or Canberra will receive more STCs than Melbourne or Hobart as these areas have less sunshine so less renewable energy is produced. Putting the power back in your hands
Solar for home, business, farmers, rental properties or small community groups – currently everyone can take advantage of the Federal Government’s Renewable Energy Target (RET) Scheme. The RET Scheme uses tradeable Small Scale Technology Certificates (known as STCs).
Solar credits will apply to new installations of solar systems up to 100 kilowatts (kW) of capacity installed.
This RET program is not means tested and everyone, including high income earners and business owners, can apply for the STCs. Austel Power will sell the STCs that your solar system will create to help subsidise the cost of your solar panel system and installation. Why Farmers Are Choosing Solar Power
Farmers across the country are discovering and enjoying the advantages of adding solar power. We’ve worked with farmers helping them realise the benefits and savings solar provides.
Here are some ways adding solar can help you and your farm:
- Drastically cut monthly energy bills now. Our systems are custom designed to meet your current electrical needs. Every kilowatt-hour (kWh) your solar system produces will offset one that you would have needed to otherwise purchase from your electricity company. That means more money remaining in the farm.
- Insulate yourself against rising energy costs in the future. Instead of remaining vulnerable to ever-increasing costs of energy, solar provides farmers with a reliable, cost-effective energy solution.
- Increase the value of your property. Solar panels are a great investment into the long-term value and viability of your farm and provides financial benefits for years to come. Think of it as an investment in the future, a brighter future for your family and your farm.
- Gain energy independence with power that pays you. Solar energy is a completely passive source of power and income: as long as the sun is shining, the panels are producing energy.
- Save money by using this free energy.
- Our grid-connected solar panels integrate into your current electrical system seamlessly so in most cases there is no need for extensive or expensive modifications. We can install panels on the roof of sheds, livestock buildings, homes or even your paddock, further utilising these surfaces for your benefit.
